Day 18: Book that disappointed you

So I freakin love this story. I also adore the movie. However... the book left me with a headache. While Anne Rice is a beautiful writer I do not think that she is for me. Her ideas are one in a million but I seem to get wrapped up in understanding her overly wordy descriptions rather than enjoying the story itself. I actually did not even finish this book as I couldn't get past the exceptionally wordy work. Any tips for reading her stories?
